What We Believe

We believe that the Bible is the inspired Word of God, giving us a true history of the creation and containing a correct prophecy of the ages to come.

We believe that there is only one God (Deuteronomy 6:4). He is the Creator of heaven and earth, and of all living beings. He has revealed Himself to humanity as the Father (Creator), in the Son (Savior), and as the Holy Ghost (Indwelling Spirit).

We believe that Sin is the transgression of the law or commandments of God (I John 3:4). The guilt of sin has fallen upon all humanity from Adam until now.  The wages of sin is eternal death (Romans 3:23; 6:23; Rev. 20:14) to all those who refuse to accept salvation as set forth in the Word of God.

We believe that Salvation consists of deliverance from all sin and unrighteousness through the blood of Jesus Christ. The New Testament experience of salvation consists of repentance from sin, water baptism in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and the baptism of the Holy Ghost, after which the Christian is to live a godly life (Acts 2:36-41).

We believe that Water Baptism is an essential part of New Testament salvation….it is part of entering into the kingdom of God. We believe that the Mode of Baptism is to be administered only by immersion (Romans 6:4; Colossians 2:12). We believe that the Name in which baptism is administered is vitally important, and this name is Jesus (Acts 4:12).

We believe that baptism of the Holy Ghost is the birth of the Spirit (St. John 3:5). Being born of the Spirit is necessary to place a person into the kingdom of God (God's church, the bride of Christ) and is evidenced by speaking in other tongues (other languages) as the Spirit of God gives utterance. (Joel 2:28-29; St. John 14:26; 15:26; Acts 2:1-4; 8:17; 10:44-46.

We believe that living a life of Holiness is required of every Christian; we must live soberly, righteously, and godly in this present world, and we are required to present ourselves as holy unto God (St. John 8:11; Titus 2:12; Hebrews 12:14; Romans 12:1). No one can live a holy life except through the Holy Spirit (Acts 1:8).

We believe in Divine Healing as witnessed through the ages by God's miraculous healings and special provisions of His grace. There is no sickness or disease too hard for God (St. Mark 16:18; James 5:14-16).

We believe in the Second Coming of Christ. Jesus Christ will come back to earth in bodily form, He will catch away a holy people who have accepted redemption through His blood, by birth of water and of the Spirit, and who are found faithful unto Him (I Thess. 4:16-17; St. Luke 17:36).

We believe that there will be a Resurrection of all the dead, both just and unjust (Daniel 12:2; St. John 5:28-29; I Corinthians 15:13-23; Revelation 20:12-13).

We believe that Judgment is coming, for "…It is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment" (Hebrews 9:27). The eternal destiny of every soul shall be determined by a just God who knows the secrets of everyone's heart (II Corinthians 5:10; St. Matthew 25:32-34, 41, 46).
